The annual report reviews the organization’s activities, achievements, and financial performance for the period from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025. It highlights strategic initiatives, research, and programs aimed at increasing access, equity, and integrity in the college admissions process.

Common App continued its mission to expand college access for students from diverse backgrounds. Several key initiatives and programs shaped the year’s work:

  • Offering innovative strategies and programs: Common App expanded its initiatives and work aimed at closing its equity gap for students from low- and middle-income communities, including expanded direct admissions, the Student Context Pilot, scholarship matching programs.
    • Record application growth: First-generation applicants increased by 14% and applicants from below median income ZIP codes grew by 10%.
  • Reinforcing relationships and expanding partnerships: Working with Connecticut and Illinois as state partners, and welcoming community colleges to the platform has already increased our reach.
  • Leading the way: We are using our unique voice and data to engage audiences across several mediums in new and innovative ways to drive actions and increase access.
  • Being excellent to one another: As a fully remote company, building connection internally requires intention, collaboration, and commitment.

These efforts underscore Common App’s commitment to expanding opportunities and fostering inclusivity in higher education through strategic initiatives and collaborative work.
