Common App is partnering with EdVisorly to pilot AI-powered transcript processing in Texas. This initiative aims to reduce application friction, support admissions teams, and increase access for low- and middle-income students.
At Common App, we continue to explore ways to make the college application process more streamlined and efficient—for both our member colleges and universities and the students we serve. Research shows that process barriers and friction, such as time spent performing data entry on an application, negatively impact college access, particularly for students from low- and middle-income communities.
To that end, Common App is partnering with EdVisorly, an AI enrollment platform focused on streamlining the admission process, empowering students, and delivering measurable impact for institutions. Together, we are launching a year-long pilot in the state of Texas to evaluate the use of artificial intelligence for automated transcript processing.
This innovation can benefit both students and institutions by:
- Freeing admissions staff from manual data entry so they can focus on high-value activities
- Accelerating the application process through instant data extraction and validation
- Driving higher application completion rates by removing friction for students
- Ensuring precise, reliable transcript data to strengthen admissions decisions
