Auburn University at Montgomery

Auburn University at Montgomery campus

Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) is recognized by U.S. News and World Report, as well as, The Princeton Review as one of the best colleges in the Southeast. What else do we have going for us?

  • AUM offers a close-knit community; designed for only 7,000 students. Nearly half of the classes at AUM include 20 or fewer students, so your professors are likely to know you by name.
  • AUM is your first stop for a career that matters. You’ll get a personalized, real-world learning experience in one of our six colleges — either on our wooded, 600-acre campus, in an online setting or through a blend of both.
  • We celebrate our diverse student body. Our close-knit campus community includes students of all ages, abilities, cultures and backgrounds. Our students come from all over the world!
  • We have award-winning faculty members. U.S. News & World Report ranked AUM No. 22 among regional universities in the South for the quality of undergraduate teaching.

Application information

First-year

We look forward to having you join us at AUM as a freshman.  No matter what degree or certificate program you are looking to complete, we are eager to help you get enrolled. But first, we’ve got good news! In addition to many other financial aid options, AUM awards automatic scholarships to freshmen based on either ACT scores or High School GPA!  No paperwork necessary.

Transfer

In order to be eligible for transfer admissions, transfer students must have:

  • completed 24 or more hours of college-level credit at a regionally accredited institution(s)
  • earned at least a 2.0 on all GPA hours (all graded hours) from all colleges or institutions attended

If you have fewer than 24 credit hours of transferable work, you will need to meet the minimum admission requirements for entering freshmen.

Additional information

Paying for college is one of the hottest topics these days among students and parents, which leaves many asking “how can I afford to continue my education?”

First, understand that AUM is a fantastic value when you measure the cost to the quality of the education you receive here. That said, “how can I afford to continue my education?” It’s a reasonable question and one we are here to help you answer. Because you do have options, many of which you may not know about. We invite you to talk about those options and how we can help you afford to come to school here.

Let’s begin by talking scholarships. Here you will find more information about the scholarships we have available for incoming freshmen, transfers, and international students. We also have federal financial aid available that you may want to consider.

Finishing your education is a great value, when you consider the long-term benefits, from increased earning potential to career choices. Let’s talk together about your situation and devise a plan that fits your needs.
