Application information

First-year

We have made the first-year application process as easy and straight forward as possible.  Students are required to complete the application and provide official transcripts.  Standardized tests are not currently required for admission, but may help in determining scholarship eligibility.  We are rolling admissions and do not require an application fee or an essay.

Transfer

We like to work one on one with transfer applicants.  Our application process is as easy as we can make it. If you have earned over 24 college credits, we will need an admissions application and transcripts from all the colleges you have attended.  If you have less than 24 credits, you must also provide your high school transcripts.  If you apply straight out of high school no matter how many college credits you have earned, you must apply as a first-year student.  We are rolling admissions and do not require an application fee or an essay.

Additional information

We rely on the FAFSA as our aid application and we offer federal, state and institutional aid including loans and work study.  98% of undergraduate students qualify for some type of financial aid.  Academic institutional aid is awarded at the time admissions is offered.  Concord also has the third largest college endowment in the State of West Virginia and so we also offer additional scholarship opportunities to students throughout their academic career.  We have a wonderful aid staff that will work with you directly through every step of the aid process.

Visit us

All students are encouraged to visit.  We schedule visits each business day at 10 am and 1 pm.  We also offer occasional Saturday visits and special events. While we want all students to visit campus, we know it may be hard for some so we also offer an online tour option.   Check out our web site at concord.edu/visit to explore all our options and to sign up for a tour of campus.   Tours often include visits with other staff and faculty and lunch in the dining hall.  Plan your visit today!

To me, Concord feels like home. You immediately feel a part of the mountain lion family the moment you step foot on campus.
