Application information

First-year

MSU Billings offers a streamlined Direct Admissions process for first-year students, allowing many applicants to receive an admission decision based on self-reported academic information. First-year applicants should apply as students entering college for the first time after high school or with a GED. MSUB offers rolling admissions, so students may apply at any time. MSUB also includes City College, which provides career-focused and technical programs alongside traditional university degrees with both 2-year degrees and career in a year offerings.

Transfer

MSU Billings is an ideal next step for students transferring from a two-year college, community college or university. MSUB has established articulation agreements that help ensure coursework transfers smoothly and applies toward bachelor’s degree requirements. Transfer students receive personalized advising to support a seamless transition and timely degree completion. With a wide range of academic programs on the University campus and career-focused options at City College, MSUB provides flexible pathways for students continuing their education.
