Additional information
Did you know that the majority of Simpson University students receive some type of financial aid?
Here are the most common types of aid that our students qualify for.
Grants
Grant funds are issued by the federal or state government and do not need to be repaid once your graduate.
PELL Grant
The Pell Grant is the largest source of gift aid from the federal government. When the FAFSA is filed, a student is automatically considered for the grant.
Cal Grant
The Cal Grant is for students who live in the state of California. Students need to fill out the FAFSA and complete a GPA verification process to be considered for this grant. GPA and financial requirements also need to be met in order for a student to qualify for this funding.
Simpson University Scholarships
These scholarships are awarded to students based on academic merit, talent, personal or family involvement in Christian ministry, and high levels of need based on the FAFSA.
Legacy Scholarships: We recently released seven legacy scholarships, which are designed to support specific groups including students from a Christian & Missionary Alliance background, diverse populations, and Northern California. To learn more about these scholarships, visit simpsonu.edu/scholarships.
Outside Scholarships
If you are receiving scholarships from outside sources (not institutional scholarships), please make sure that our Student Financial Services teams knows about any outside scholarships while they help you through the awarding process.
