Application information
First-year
First Year applicants must be graduates of an accredited secondary school or have evidence of equivalent education. Regents-level classes are a minimum requirement for New York state applicants, with Advanced Placement and honors courses carrying the most weight. A challenging college preparatory program is highly recommended. Admissions decisions are based on a variety of factors including high school GPA and coursework, the results of SAT or ACT exams (if student chooses), extracurricular activities, essays and letters of recommendation.
Transfer
SUNY Oneonta strives to enroll an academically well qualified and culturally diverse student body. All applications are individually reviewed based on a variety of criteria, including: A competitive and challenging academic program with courses related to your intended major; A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
