Application information
First-year
Step 1: Complete your application. Freshman can apply via the Common Application or Universities of Wisconsin Application.
Step 2: Send high school transcripts to UWM if you have them. UWM will accept unofficial high school transcripts at time of review for students still in high school. Official high school transcripts will be required for students who have since graduated high school, and have not enrolled elsewhere. UWM is test-optional and does not require ACT or SAT scores for admission.
Step 3: Receive your Admissions Decision. Our team of admissions professionals evaluates qualified candidates through a comprehensive, individualized review process. Please allow 2-3 weeks for an admission decision after your application file is complete.
Transfer
We encourage all transfer students interested in UW-Milwaukee to apply via the Universities of Wisconsin Application.
